8 Week Training Program

An 8 week training course designed to get you in the shape you need to complete the XTERRA triathlon with confidence on June 15. The program includes experienced triathlon group leaders, gear selection tips, transition tips, mountain bike and trail running technique, safety and race day nutrition. The training will be held at Scales Lake in Boonville, the actual race course.

Session: April 24 - June 12

Days: Wednesday 6pm / Saturday 9am

  • One day indoor swim clinic
  • Course overview
  • Mountain biking skill sessions
  • Weekly training rides
  • Weekly training runs
  • Group brick training
  • Transitions, race day nutrition and strategy

The XTERRA Scales Lake is an association-wide event. The funds generated from the triathlon will significantly increase the number of children, youth and families who have the opportunity to experience the extraordinary impact of the following programs: Y-CAP, Diamonds, Swim Lessons, Swim Team, Soccer, Basketball, Midnight Basketball, Youth and Government, Life Skills, After School Rocks (Drug Prevention), Healthy Kids Day, Preschool, Before and After School Childcare, Summer Day Camp, Preschool Sports, Kid's Night Out, Tumbling, Family Night, Fit Kids, Various Senior programs, Adult Wellness Programs, CPR, and Nutrition Classes.
