Did you know that the YMCA is volunteer founded and volunteer led?

We rely on our volunteers to help with our efforts in the community. Hundreds of volunteers are needed for this event! Have fun while helping the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana!

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Traffic Control – This is a three to four hour commitment. Help ensure the safety of the runners while cheering and having a great time.

Water stations – This is approximately a two hour commitment. Pass out water to the race participants.

Finish Line – This is approximately a three hour commitment. Pass out goodies at the finish, help cut chips off of the runners’ shoes, or hand out medals to finishers.

Goodie Bags/Expo – These are volunteer opportunities prior to race day. Help fill goodie bags or work a registration table.

The YMCA Spirit, Mind, Body Sprint Triathlon is an association-wide event. The funds generated from the triathlon will significantly increase the number of children, youth and families who have the opportunity to experience the extraordinary impact of the following programs: Y-CAP, Diamonds, Swim Lessons, Swim Team, Soccer, Basketball, Midnight Basketball, Youth and Government, Life Skills, After School Rocks (Drug Prevention), Healthy Kids Day, Preschool, Before and After School Childcare, Summer Day Camp, Preschool Sports, Kid's Night Out, Tumbling, Family Night, Fit Kids, Various Senior programs, Adult Wellness Programs, CPR, and Nutrition Classes.
